This portable 2 way radio delivers a quality voice clarity and integrates with Hytera applications. It has all the benefits of digital technology that you might expect, it operates equally well in analogue mode. PD605 is a true migration radio that is a massively popular device. This radio walkie talkie is available in UHF and VHF frequency bands and has advanced signaling and encryption for secure communications. Built in Pseudo-Trunk, the Hytera proprietary feature, increases the frequency efficiency which is particularly beneficial in emergency situations. Intrinsically Safe Radios For Firefighters - SOLAS Regulation II-2/10

IMO Regulation: The Maritime Safety Committee (MSC), adopted the following amendment to SOLAS regulation II-2/10 about fire fighters’ communication:
“For ships constructed on or after 1 July 2014, a minimum of two two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus for each fire party for fire-fighter's communication shall be carried on board. Those two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus shall be of an explosion-proof type or intrinsically safe. Ships constructed before 1 July 2014 shall comply with the requirements of this paragraph not later than the first survey after 1 July 2018."
