Apple iPad for Table Tracker
LRS Table Tracker version three and later uses Apple iPad Air tablets for mobility use; readily available and built to Apple's exacting standards and quality these tablets work surprisingly well in most professional environments. There are various accessories that can make the device more rugged as well as specific 'stands' that fix the Apple iPad down for security purposes. It's unlikely that the iPad would be stolen when fitted in to the table mount holder.
The iPad air is the perfect device for displaying the table tracker screen. And the good news is that you can use up to FIVE of these units around the restaurant so everyone is up to date with the exact position with table tracker. Older versions of Table Tracker used to use a windows based PC, but now we utilise the Apple iPad as shown. There are developments where Table Tracker will be used through a browser, thus negating the use of specific devices like Apple iPad Air, but currently the iPad remains the display of choice.
Clients are free to choose whether they buy these units from us or they supply their own. We do have optional stands made in Germany of highest quality and other accessories such as leather carry cases also suitable for professional use. And we are developing software that will operate on any browser on near enough any platform. Some customers love the Apple products and the multi-screen ability of 5 units if needed, but other customers would prefer to operate their Table Tracker from LRS on a browser. Version 2 of Table Tracker that worked on a PC under windows was discontinued and V3 (the current version) needs the iPad to operate. But in 2026 it is likely that the new LRS software will be released and that includes a whole range of new features that are not found on other systems.
