Customised Table Top Mats for TT
The use of table-top mats is optional of course, and usually table tracker has tag strips under table so nothing is placed on the table surface. However there can be reasons why a table top mat might be used:
- If the cost of the TT system is higher than the budget available
- If there are outdoor tables that need to be completely waterproof
- Simply if you prefer table top mats!
We have installed many systems with just a table top mat in to many fast casual restaurants throughout the UK and bearing in mind the spiraling costs of equipment and labour these days, having an unobtrusive mat on the table is not really detrimental(from what we see) and the savings could be substantial. The material that mats are made from can be (if desired) very thin so it is not intrusive for customers or guests when on the table top.
While LRS tag strips are waterproof, often you might find that the tables used for outdoors have issues with continuous damp and the English weather over the winter time. The answer is to use our custom weatherproof mats as shown (the square example) that are completely impervious to water and the English weather. These are long term tried and tested throughout the UK.
Table mats can in fact be any shape or size and design. We have a template available for design use by companies but we will design free of charge if you want custom mats for your operation.
LRS Table Tracker can utilise fully customised table top mats for the tables; it's possible to brand these units to your exact needs and customers do that from time to time. The mats themselves do carry a one off cost.
These specialised waterproof mats are usually made from very high quality 3M material and will not scratch on the top surface. They can be used with a glue for 'sticking down' on a table or free standing. Some customers have a hole in the centre of the larger mats allowing for a parasol pole. We have also created labels that are designed for under glass table tops that also work well.
